We are focusing on Suicide Awareness 2023
CH# 88-0836774
Our Mission is to bring awareness to one of the most devastating issues of our time. There WAS over 57,000 self inflicted suicides per year in 2023 and 17+ Veterans per day. This is also the #1 killer of our Adolescents ages 10-24 and Adults.
Our goals throughout the year is to raise funds to bring AWARENESS & find a way to PREVENT...."SUICIDE". We will do this by having events, seminars and partnering with other organizations.
I have been associated with a few great professionals from 2019 to 2021 to raise much needed funds for a few local charities.
In 2022 Gulf Coast Giving Inc became incorporated and 2023 became a state authorized charity(509(a)2). We are proud to be able to bring awareness about Suicide and how to prevent it to our community.
Florida Info

Suicide affects all ages. It is the second leading cause of death for people ages 10-34, the fourth leading cause among people ages 34-54, and the fifth leading cause among people ages 45-54.
We're excited to announce our upcoming event, in SEPTEMBER, hosted by Mellow Mushroom in Sarasota FL.

Suicide is associated with several risk and protective factors. Like other human behaviors, suicide has no single determining cause, instead occurring in response to multiple biological, psychological, interpersonal, environmental, and societal influences that coincide, often over time. A combination of situations could lead someone to consider suicide. Risk factors increase the possibility of suicide but may not be direct causes.
Known Risk Factors
There are individual characteristics and steps communities can take that may help protect people from suicidal thoughts and behavior. More research is needed identifying and understanding protective factors that help lessen risk factors.*
